Success - a necessity or a misconception?
Success is not final, failure is not fatal... It's the courage to continue that counts
Most of us are often in practice of going after success, but do we ever ask to ourselves whether it is really a necessity?
Success often come to those who are quite busy to even consider thinking about it. They just put their trust and their efforts in ideas and the work, something they are proud of doing.
But most of us keep chasing it... Running after it... And that's the sole reason we never achieve it. We never realize that success is nothing more than just a byproduct which we get, when we follow our instincts and work accordingly, no matter what others keep thinking about it. They continuously keep judging you and try to knock you down. But, anyways, it's their karma... How you react is yours!
Since our childhood, our minds are poured with filth by everyone around us. The consequence is that we forfeit to even think about what we want ourselves. Everyone would keep telling you to succeed in life otherwise you are finished. But nobody will tell you how to achieve it because they don't know the answer themselves. For them, success means just getting a "stable job" and spending the rest of their miserable lives with it. A stable job might be good for "making a living" but you won't be able to "live your life" with it. Just think about it!
This very notion of success has tamed most of us and the consequence is that the "work culture" around us has become so tragic. Ask a question to yourself, "do I or ever will get to know all these people in my lifetime?" Plausibly no! Because world has always recognized and admired those who keep themselves isolated from rest and make continuous efforts without worrying about success. We don't need examples here, because, as a matter of fact, we have many.
Our vedas too, have never focused on how to get success. Rather they are centered towards karma, which means focusing on work instead of result. What you think should be the reason? The reason is that it is not necessary at all. Success among most of us, is just a misconception. And our endeavour must be to focus on karma and not success itself.
Yes, the road is not easy...
Yes, we have to walk alone...
Yes, things don't work out always as planned...
But, eventually you will be satisfied deep down from inside. And more importantly, you'll keep improving yourself every single day by taking wise decisions.
It's always upto us, whether we want a "job satisfaction" or a satisfaction within ourselves, the later being more spiritual and eternal one and hence more complicated, that most of us would not understand and just refuse to accept !
