170 million debris revolving around the earth can stop everything by destroying satellites
There are 170 million debris in the form of junk in space which can collide with the active satellite at any time and destroy them ....
Every country, in its desire for advancing in science and technology, is trying to establish its satellites in space to give better life to its citizens. Their increasing number and the useless satellites which have become junk are becoming threat in space. When they are destroyed by a missile, they rotate in space at high speed, turning into millions of pieces. There are currently 170 million pieces of such debris in motion in the form of junk in space, which can collide with an active satellite at any time and destroy them.
According to space experts, the debris of old rockets and useless satellites rapidly rotates in the Earth's orbit. This can quickly waste the upper surface of the atmosphere. Presently, there are more than 3,000 artificial satellites that orbit Earth. These are necessary for human society, because through them continuous information about the effects of climate change is being received and the communication system is also operated from these satellites. They are also monitored in the field of defense.
India had acquired the technology to install satellites in space, and since then it has also been earning millions of dollars from this trade. The Center for Space Environment Research in Australia says that so much debris has accumulated in space that due to their collision, this junk is being transformed into pieces of up to a centimeter. As a result, it is feared that this dangerous space junk may destroy all the satellites orbiting somewhere? Out of 170 million pieces of space junk, only 22,000 pieces have been listed currently.
According to NASA, more than five million pieces of debris or space junk are orbiting the Earth at a speed of 17,500 mph. These debris are so powerful that even a small piece of it is capable of damaging a satellite or spacecraft. Even the International Space Station has to evade these fragments. Space scientists are constantly warning that debris in space have reached dangerous levels and if it is not removed quickly, it could destroy spacecraft and useful satellites in future. If this happens, it will become necessary to ban space missions. On the other hand, American astronomers have done a survey that every year one thousand tons of junk from space falls on the earth. It is not recognized properly. This junk of space can be natural as well as man-made.
Apart from the small incidents of debris piling up in space, there are some incidents which have put garbage in the space. In the year 2007, China had accumulated a large amount of junk in space by collecting its satellites. This year, China destroyed its own useless satellites to test and make a satellite piercing missile. One of the satellites giving weather information was converted into a half million pieces. Each piece of this junk is equal to one centimeter. Over time, this garbage will not only endanger space missions, but it can also be a cause of disaster on Earth. Useless satellites and orbits can fall to Earth at any time. In 2016, a satellite weighing six tons fell on Earth. Earlier in 1989, the 100-ton Skylab satellite dropped into the Indian Ocean and in 2001 Russia's space station Mir dropped into the South Ocean.
However, till now it is a matter of satisfaction in the history of space expedition that there has been no human damage due to the fall of these junk into the earth or sea. The reason for this is that most of the waste gets burnt before reaching the earth. Despite the apprehension of loss of life and property cannot be ruled out. Space scientists are trying to get the junk that falls from the earth back into the atmosphere. For this reason, scientists from Switzerland have announced the creation of a satellite called 'Clean Space One'. It is being constructed by the Swiss Space Center. It will cost about $ 11 million. It will be prepared and used within three to five years.
These scientists say that 16,000 and smaller pieces larger than 10 centimeters are circling around the earth in millions. After this cleaning satellite was invented, the first two Swiss satellites would be sent to catch. These satellites were launched into space in 2009 and 2010, which are now lying dormant. However, the increasing junk in space is causing trouble for the Earth.
