WhatsApp is officially shutting down on these smartphones

WhatsApp said in a blog post that after December 31, 2019, Whatsapp will no longer be available in Windows Phones.

Whatsapp is the most widely used messaging app in the world. It has been downloaded by billions of people on both the Play Store and Apple Store platforms. But for some users using this app for years, WhatsApp has brought bad news. WhatsApp said in a blog post that after December 31, 2019, Whatsapp will be made unavailable to Windows Phones. According to Whatsapp, the last update for Windows Phone will be offered in June. Then on January 1, 2020, you will not be able to play Whatsapp on your Windows Phone.

WhatsApp always stops updates for old phones. Before this, on January 1, 2018, WhatsApp support was discontinued on many phones  in which Nokia S40 and earlier operating systems were present. Regarding the shutting down of its instant messaging app in old phones, WhatsApp says that the company does not develop new features for these platforms, due to which some of its features stop functioning automatically.

Whatsapp says that when it focuses on the next seven years, its focus is on those mobile phones, which are being used by more and more people. So if you use Windows Phone and want to use WhatsApp, then you have to buy a new phone before December 31, 2019.

To recall, WhatsApp had said last year that WhatsApp will not work after February 1, 2020 on the Android version 2.3.7 and earlier and iPhones operating on iOS 7 and older operating systems. But the company has not said anything about Android yet. Earlier, on December 31, 2017, the company shut down WhatsApp for 'Blackberry OS', 'BlackBerry 10', 'Windows Phone 8.0' and some other older platforms.
