A new AI based device will help in detecting heart attack in sleep
A new system has been developed, which uses artificial intelligence to detect heart attack during the sleep. Scientists say that heart attack will be detected without touching this system.
Scientists have developed a new system based on artificial intelligence to keep an eye on the possibility of a heart attack in people during the sleep. This system will work with them without touching it. Researchers at the University of Washington of the U.S. said that people who have a heart attack suddenly go numb and either their breath stops or they begin to gasp.
Developing a new skill for smart home speakers or smartphones like Google Home and Amazon Alexa, the device will be able to detect the sound of gasping and they will be able to call anyone for help. Immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) increases the chance of survival of anyone by two to three folds, but it is necessary for anyone to be present nearby.
Shyam Golakota, Associate Professor at the University of Washington, said, "There are smart speakers in many people's homes and these devices have such great capabilities that can be taken advantage of." Golakota said, "We have envisioned an uninterrupted system which can keep an eye on any incident of respiratory failure and can call the present person to call for giving CPR. If no response is received, then the device will automatically call the emergency number.
