Samsung galaxy S10 series finally arrives with a 5G variant as well as Galaxy Fold : Price, specifications and availability
The South Korean tech giant launched its latest flagship series of smartphones at its Galaxy unpacked 2019 event on Wednesday, 20 February 2019 at 11 am PT. The company has sold 2 billion Galaxy series phones so far.
In the event, the company showed off the 5G variant of S10 as well, which it will launch later this year. Apart from this, it also launched a foldable device which company has named 'Galaxy fold'. Also, three wearables namely Galaxy watch Active, Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Buds were launched in the event. Let's get to know about the specifications, price and availability of all the Galaxy devices one by one.
Galaxy Fold - specifications, features, price and availability:
The Galaxy Fold is a foldable device that has an external 4.6 inches display and an internal 7.3 inches display. The company claims that apps like WhatsApp, Facebook and Microsoft Office are among the apps that are being optimized for the folding display.
The device has a 7nm based processor coupled with 12GB of RAM and an onboard storage capacity of 512GB. It also has a support for Universal Flash Storage 3.0, Samsung claims. It comes with Android 9 Pie out of the box with Samsung's One UI running on top. It is priced at $1,980 in US and will be made available from April 26.
Samsung Galaxy S10 - specifications, features and price:
The Galaxy S10 has a 6.1 inches Infinity-O display. It has a QHD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio. It has an HDR10+ support and Blue light reduction as well. It packs the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC flagship 7nm based processor in some regions while the Exynos 9820 processor in some other. It has 8GB RAM with two storage options - 128GB and 512GB which is expandable via micro-SD card.
The camera department consists of a triple rear-camera setup with a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP telephoto lens and a 16MP ultra-wide lens. The Punch-hole selfie camera has a 10MP lens.
The Galaxy S10 also features a 3.5mm audio jack as well as a USB Type-C port. The device is powered by a 3,400 mAh battery which has a reverse wireless charging support too. It has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, that company claims to be the most advanced in-display fingerprint sensor in the market. The device comes with Android Pie 9 out of the box with Samsung's OneUI running on top. It's price starts at $899.99 (roughly ₹64,190).

The S10+ has a larger display of 6.4 inches with same aspect ratio of 19:9 and same processor as in S10. It also features an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It has the same RAM variants of 8GB and 12GB with three storage options - 128GB, 512GB and 1TB, which is expandable via micro-SD card. It has the same rear-camera setup as in S10, however, the front panel has a dual camera setup of 10MP+8MP. The battery is bigger than S10 with 4,100 mAh. It's price starts at $999.99 (roughly ₹ 71,320).

The Galaxy S10e has a smaller of 5.8 inches Infinity-O display, but has the same processors as that in S10 and S10+. It has two RAM variants of 6GB and 8GB with two storage options of 128GB and 512GB which is expandable through a micro-SD card.
The camera department features a dual rear-camera setup with a 12MP wide-angle sensor and a 16MP fixed-focus sensor. It has a 10MP front selfie-camera just like Galaxy S10. However, it doesn't feature an in-display fingerprint sensor like S10 and S10+ and has a capacitive fingerprint scanner at back. It is powered by a smaller 3,100 mAh battery. It's price starts at $749.99 (roughly ₹53,410).
Apart from these Galaxy smartphones, Samsung also launched three wearables at this event. The first one is called Galaxy Watch Active which can track your daily activities, heart rate, stress level and blood pressure. It has an automatic workout detection feature and supports 39 activities. It is compatible with Android as well as iOS. It is priced at $199 (roughly ₹14,190).
One other wearable is the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e which are activity trackers with notification feature too. These are water resistant and also feature automatic workout detection like Galaxy Watch Active. It is targeted fro those who don't like to wear a bulky smartwatch in their wrist and prefer a sleek design. The price starts at $99 (₹7,000).
The third and the last wearables are called Galaxy Buds which are a pair of wireless in-ear headphones with a battery life of upto 6 hrs. These come packed with their own charging case and can be charged through a USB type-C port or wirelessly. They are priced at $130 (roughly ₹9,300).
