Jio phone 3 renders reveal a smartphone with 5-inch display - specifications, price and availability

Reliance Jio has witnessed an unprecedented growth in last several years. It has become one of the leading telecom companies across the globe and now dominates the Indian feature phone market as well. The reason is obvious - its two products Jio phone and Jio phone 2.
And some recently leaked renders suggest that now the company is planning to enter the smartphone industry as well. It is reportedly set to launch its latest addition in the handset lineup with tag Jio phone 3, which will be perhaps its first smartphone.


Specifications:
The device is expected to be an entry level smartphone with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage. It may have a 5-inches fully touchscreen display. It will have a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing selfie camera. The device is expected to run on Android Go platform, unlike its predecessors which are based on Kai OS. Another big brand Xiaomi is also expected to launch a device with Android GO platform with name Redmi Go and a price tag of Rs. 4000. Hence, we might see a tough competition between the two.

Price and availability:
It will have a price tag of Rs. 4,500 - a significant increase as compared to earlier Jio devices. It is expected to go on sale from July 2019 onwards. Interested customers can pre-order their device from this point of time. It will be made available in Jio stores, Reliance digital stores and Reliance Jio official website.
