Asus ROG Phone II launched with 12GB RAM, 512GB storage and Snapdragon 855 Plus processor


Taiwanese tech company Asus has introduced a new smartphone under the ROG series (Republic of Gaming). It has perhaps the top specifications given in any smartphone so far. At the moment, its price has not been announced.

The ROG Phone II smartphone has a full HD display of 6.59 inches and uses an OLED panel. There is also a fingerprint scanner in the display itself. The refresh rate is  quite significant at 120Hz. In this smartphone you can decide whether you want to use stock Android or run the ROG UI. You will get this option during the setup process.


This smartphone has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. This processor of Qualcomm has been specially designed for gaming. The GPU performance has been improved. ROG Phone II smartphone has 512GB of internal storage with 12GB of RAM.

For photography, this smartphone has a 48-megapixel rear camera. The device is powered by a 6,000mAh battery. The company claims that it can play PUBG for 7 hours continuously with a 60Hz refresh rate.


Two vibration motors are given in this smartphone. It can be used for directive haptic feedback. This smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack and four microphones have been given so that there is ease in multi-player gaming. For video calling, it has a 24-megapixel front camera.


Gaming smartphones often get heated quickly. In order to keep it in control, the company has used Vents to remove heat from the vapour Chamber, which send it to the External Chamber. Aero Active Cooler 2 is also provided with the phone. It keeps the phone cool.

At the moment the company has not revealed its price.
