Huawei Foldable 5G Smartphone Launch on February 24 - invites on twitter

Huawei has confirmed the launch of its upcoming 5G foldable device on February 24 at MWC 2019 in Barcelona. The Chinese tech giants had earlier revealed that it is working on a 5G foldable device. Soon after this, it announced that the launch will take place at MWC 2019. And now it has shared a press invite on Twitter for an event at 2 PM CET, February 24, 2019 - just a day before MWC 2019 kicks off and four days after Samsung's galaxy unpacked event. The image shared in the invitation is what looks like the hinge of this foldable 5G device, perhaps giving a hint about its design.
The device is expected to house the latest flagship processor by the company, i.e, the HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC and Balong 5000 modem. It may have a 7.2 inches display with 5G support. The company is reported to manufacture 24 to 30 thousand units in the initial phase.
Rumours had emerged about a foldable device from Huawei early in 4th quarter of 2017, and it was also said that the Chinese tech giants will bring the first foldable device before the Korean giants Samsung. However, now it doesn't seem to be the case as Samsung already has scheduled its event 4 days prior on 20th February, where it is expected to launch its upcoming flagship galaxy S10 with a foldable device. A couple of other companies namely LG and Xiaomi are also expected to launch their foldable device later this year.
