Honor View 20 - pre booking starts in India - price, specifications and availability





The sub-brand of Huawei has launched the global version of its latest flagship the Honor View 20, in an event in Paris on Tuesday. The device sports a punch hole display that houses a 25MP selfie camera. It also has the latest flagship processor of Huawei, the HiSilicon kirin 980. Following are the detailed specifications, features, price and availability of the device in the Indian market.

Specifications and features:
The device comes with an in-display front camera, which is a 25MP selfie camera. It has an IPS capacitive LCD display which is 6.4" FHD+ (1080x2310) panel with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It has a 91.8% screen-to-body ratio and a pixel density of 398ppi. The device was announced in China back in December 2018, and is the first one to feature a punch-hole design on any of the company's devices. It also offers a unique and beautiful glass panel design at back that appears in V-shape when light falls on it. The view 20 also has a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB type-C port. It is powered by the world's first 7nm based octacore processor, the latest HiSilicon Kirin 980, which is combined with the Mali G76 MP10 GPU. It has an aluminium frame body with front and back glass design. The back panel features a dual camera setup with a 48MP primary lens and a secondary time of flight (ToF) lens to obtain depth information. It can record 4K videos @30fps while it also has an ultra slow motion recording feature at 720p @960fps. The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back panel. The software features Android 9.0 pie with Magic UI 2.0 running at the top which is similar to EMUI. The device is powered by a 4000mAh battery with a fast charge support. 

Price and availability in India:


The view 20 is set to launch in Indian market on 29th January, and its pre-booking has started on Amazon as well as HiHonor store. It has three variants of storage capacity and RAM viz, 256GB+8GB/128GB+8GB/128GB+6GB. However, there is no dedicated card slot for extending the storage. The price in the European market starts with 560 euros (approx ₹46,000) for the base variant of 6GB model and the 256GB variant (Moschino version) has a price of 649 euros (approx ₹52,500). But, the 6GB variant is rumoured to be priced somewhere near ₹35,000 in order to compete with Oneplus 6T. Those who will pre-book by paying ₹1000, will also get a pair of Honor Bluetooth headphones worth ₹2,999. The base variants will be available in two colour options of Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue, while the Moschino version will have Phantom Blue and Phantom Red colour options.
