Nvidia's new GTX 1660 Ti promises 120 fps gaming at just $279

Nvidia recently launched its latest affordable graphics card in its GTX lineup, the Geforce-GTX 1660Ti. It is based on the company's latest 12th generation Turing GPU architecture, which allows it to give better performance with less power consumption. However, unlike RTX card, it won't get the Nvidia's deep-learning super sampling (DLSS) or Ray-Tracing support. 

Specifications and price:

The GTX 1660 Ti has 1536 CUDA Cores coupled with 6GB of latest GDDR6 RAM with 1.8 GHz boost clock. Nvidia claims that GTX 1660 Ti has a power envelope of just 120 Watts, which gives it "the best performance to power ratio" in any of the Nvidia's GPU class. Furthermore, according to the company, the card also offers 120 fps gaming experience in latest AAA titles as well as battle royale games like Fortnite, PUBG and Apex Legends. It also claims that the GTX 1660 Ti is 1.5x faster than the 6GB variant of GTX 1060.

Although, the GTX 1070 might be still a good card for gamers, but the GTX 1660 Ti appears to be a better option as it comes with Turing architecture and offers a better price-to-performance ratio.

Nvidia launched the card on February 22 at a price of $279, and popular brands like Asus, MSI, Zotac and Gigabyte have also introduced their custom GTX 1660 Ti.
