Donate the bravehearts - the martyrs of mother India
A deadly terrorist attack by Jaish-e-Mohammad that happened last week in Pulwama, killed 40 Indian Army personnel of CRPF and injured several others. The inhuman act shook the entire nation. In order to help the families of these martyrs, many government and non-government organisations as well as citizens have come forward. Many apps and websites are now accepting donations to help the families of these bravehearts. Here's how you can make contributions in this cause too.
Bharat ke Veer:
The Bollywood star Akshay Kumar had come infront for this cause earlier and had requested everyone to contribute to Indian soldiers. Henceforth, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India started the initiative with name Bharat ke Veer (bravehearts of India) to help the soldiers who lost their lives on duty. One can make donations by visiting this website or mobile app.
Paytm:
To facilitate donations to Indian soldiers, Paytm has created a separate payment gateway for quick payments. Donations can be made on the Paytm mobile app by choosing the option "CRPF bravehearts".
On the paytm website, donations can be made through "CRPF Wives Welfare Association" which is a payment gateway link under the "Donations" tab. It will remain active until March 10, 2019.
Army welfare fund:
Donations can also be made to the Army Welfare Fund. All the donations received in this fund are utilised to provide the financial assistance to the widows and dependents of our battle casualties. To donate to the fund, one can send a demand draft in favour of "Army Welfare Fund Battle Casualties" payable at New Delhi, or one can transfer the donation directly to the Syndicate Bank account of "Army Welfare Fund Battle Casualties". Paraplegic rehabilitation center in Pune:
One can also send donations to the Paraplegic rehabilitation centre in Pune which provides aftercare and rehabilitation to the soldiers who were disbaled due to spinal cord injuries. Donations can be sent to the center in form of cash or crossed cheques in the name of "Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center Kirkee". They can be sent to the center's PNB account (IFSC code: PUNB0027800, a/c no. 0278000100174484).
National Defence Fund for the Welfare of Armed Forces:
Those who want to make donations to the Indian Army, can contribute to the National Defence Fund (NDF) utilized for the Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces personnel and their dependents. The fund is completely dependent on the voluntary contributions from the public.
