PUBG weapon mechanics - rate of fire is inter-related to the frame rate of the game
PUBG has been able to deliver an awesome gameplay in recent times, alongwith its immersive environment as well as weapon techniques. It now dominates the virtual world of game addicts across the globe. But, those who have been playing it for a long time must also be familiar that it isn't perfect too, like every other game. There have been several updates in the game in past year, which managed to fix some bugs and hence made the game operate smoothly.
But, a new issue has arose in which many players have noticed that the frame rate in the game greatly affects the weapon recoil as well as the DPS (damage per second), and hence it literally controls the weapon performance. In order to get a better weapon recoil, you will have to lower the framerate to 30fps which is lowest allowed framerate in the game. This is because the vertical recoil is decreased when the framerate is lowered. This is quite helpful for the weapons like M416 which have high rate of fire. A lower framerate limits the speed at which you can fire, and hence provides more accuracy with less recoil. But, at the same time, it also decreases the damage output. This becomes quite frustrating for players who experience high fluctuations in frame rates while playing.
But there is also a disadvantage of limiting your framerate. Basically, there is an ideal framerate for every weapon in the game. However, for weapons with relatively lower fire rates like AKM, it doesn't make much of a difference, as it will adjust with 30 as well as 60fps. But, for every other weapon, every single extra framerate will greatly affect the recoil amount if you limit the fps between, say 31 and 61.
So, in a nutshell, if you have a decent framerate in the game, you are going to get a better result. But, as a matter of fact, it isn't an easy task, as you have to avoid the fluctuation in framerates too.
