Android Q new features leaked - may support a Face ID like facial recognition, WPA3 security and native screen recording

Google's I/O 2019 developer conference is going to be held on May 7. In this event, the company may launch its latest OS the android Q, alongwith its several features including facial recognition, security features, screen recording and many more.

Several companies have used the facial recognition system by heavily customising android in their devices. Apple, on the other hand, has such feature on a global scale. The latest android version may also bring such feature with this update. Though, many companies currently provide the face recognition feature in their custom OS, but it's not a natively Google feature. Means, if Google does so, then every device will have such feature irrespective of the brand or model. Similarly, a native screen recording option may also be provided which also, is limited to only a few android running devices for now.

Besides this, the new version may also bring a new emergency shorcut, WPA3 security standard update as well as an improved version of notification management system. These insights were leaked by xda-developers.

The leaks also revealed that Android Q may bring a new feature called 'sensors off', which would disable sensors like accelerometers, gyroscopes etc. like 'airplane mode'. The screen lock will also get two new options. First, the 'smartlock' in which the device will remain awake for sometime after you have locked it, but won't allow you to unlock the device during that time. The second feature will automatically lock the phone if the last device is no longer trusted.
