A giants asteroid passed flying nearby earth, yesterday on 14th January at 2:18 am GMT. The asteroid named AG3, was 460ft (140m) in size, which is about twice the wingspan of a Boeing 747 aircraft.
The scientists of NASA at California's Jet propulsion lab tracked this rock, which could potentially hit the earth and destroy an entire continent. The asteroid was first spotted on December 12, 2018 and scientists had been tracking it since then, as they believed that it could enter the earth's atmosphere due to its huge size.

NASA has also warned that another such asteroid would perhaps hit the earth in the next century between 2175 and 2199, and may destroy all the life on it.
