WhatsApp new group security features

New feature: No one can add you in any WhatsApp group without your permission. Just perform these changes in your settings.

Whatsapp is a platform where 256 people can send messages, videos, audio or photos simultaneously through the group. But the trouble arises when a person gets added in a group without their consent and repeatedly gets added again and again in the group even after leaving it. In order to deal with such problem, the company has rolled out its new feature which will allow the user to be able to be added to any group with their wishes. This activate this feature, the user will have to make some changes in the settings of Whatsapp.

The Instant Messaging App has a total of 1.5 billion active users worldwide. Only in India, more than 200 million people use WhatsApp. According to a report, 65 billion messages are sent daily through this app, whereas 29 million messages are exchanged every minute. Also, 55 million video calls are made every day around the world through this app. 

1. First open Whatsapp app and tap the menu at the top right corner and go to Settings.


2. After this, tap the accounts and go to the privacy option.


3. After going into the privacy option, tap on the Groups option as shown below.


4. Here you will find options, who can add you to the group. There will be options - Everyone, my contact and nobody.



5. Select the Nobody option. Now no one will be able to add you in any group without your permission.


6.Now the group admin will have to first send the request to add you in their group. In this request, you can see the group's messages, members and group description, and then decide whether or not to join this group.
