Xiaomi is set to launch a smartphone with three rear cameras in India, teaser released

Highlights:
  1. Can be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series processor
  2. Xiaomi's first three rear camera phone in India
  3. Xiaomi's brand Redmi is also ready to launch new flagship handset in Chinese market

It seems that Xiaomi is now preparing to bring a smartphone with three rear cameras in the Indian Market. The company released a teaser on its official forum on Wednesday, which indicates that at least one smartphone will have three cameras on the back side.

There is no further information from the teaser, regarding the phone, but earlier, Xiaomi India's chief Manu Kumar Jain had tweeted that the company will soon launch the Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 Series smartphone in the market. It is possible that both teasers are of the same device.

Xiaomi's latest teaser is a bit mysterious. Because the single, dual, and triple camera module in the picture is seen moving around a planet. Given that Xiaomi sells phones with single rear camera and two rear cameras in the Indian market, the possibilities of launching a handset with triple rear camera setup are strong.

Outside India, Xiaomi has two such smartphones that come with triple rear camera setup - Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE. However, Snapdragon 700 series is not a processor in either of these phones. Probably, Xiaomi is thinking of bringing a new avatar of the Mi 9 SE to the Indian market.

We have no further information from the latest teaser. So, all we can do for now is wait, with expectations that the company will release some more teasers in the coming days.

On the other hand, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi, is also set to launch a new flagship handset in the Chinese market. This phone can come with in-display fingerprint sensor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The phone is likely to be launched on May 13.
